GRS Policy Statement on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

GRS closely monitors the circumstance concerning the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) keeping the safety of our colleagues, customers, partners and their families as our top priority. Although the situation improves in 2023, we still have the following measures for safeguarding our people:

As soon as WHO declared the Novel Coronavirus outbreak a Pandemic our people had been provided with the Safety Alert as guided by WHO and the Australian Government Department of Health.

We have implemented a set of safety precautions, including travel restrictions as outlined by the Australian Government and GRS internationally.

We have facilitated our people to work remotely from home.

Our people are equipped with the relevant personal protective equipment when needed, and regularly advised to help stop the spread of infections.

Our people and client organisations are advised to contact GRS immediately if someone has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 that could affect GRS or anyone in the community.

GRS Preparedness and Response Plan:

As part of our preparedness, we have our polies, procedures and extraordinary event management and response plans which are continually tested and refined as the situation develops, in order to mitigate risks and safeguard all our operations.

We engage our clients through different channels. In cases, we restrict our in-person customer visits; rearrange client-facing activities, and implement alternative methods such as Remote Auditing Techniques through digital channels.

If any site visits required, GRS asks clients about how they’re managing the COVID-19 risk or if they have any known cases.

The Extraordinary Events Management and Response Plan concerning COVID-19 is informative with:

  •  How communication between the affected certified organisation and GRS is
    established.
  •  Steps that GRS takes to assess the affected organisation and plan to move forward.
  •  Specify the assessment methods that could be used to continue the business.
  •  Ensure any deviations from certification requirements are justified.

GRS is committed to addressing any concerns that our colleagues and customers might have. We are ready to introduce measures to prevent or minimise service disruptions by collaboration with our clients.

As we move forward, GRS continues to keep our people updated. In the meantime, please contact us if you have any questions, concerns or feedback at certifcation@grscertification.com

We are committed to supporting our people to navigate through this pandemic together, and appreciate everyone’s support in these challenging times.
